The Monarchy of the UK
The monarchy of the United Kingdom is a system of government based on the Westminster system , in which a hereditary monarch is King or Queen of the United Kingdom and its overseas territory but these countries are independent and the monarchy of each is legally distinct.
The British monarch (now Elisabeth II) is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. Elisabeth II became a queen in 1952 when she was 26 years old but her coronation took place in 1953. Queen Elisabeth reigns on England since 64 years.
Since the Magna Carta, during the English Civil War and Restoration, the political powers of the monarch fell today the monarch don't do a lot of things now they have a ceremonial function.
The next monarch is going to be Charles who is Elisabeth's son.
