Food
The first thing to be very different between Switzerland and England is the food! I don't think it's in every family but in mine in England I often eat chips and deep-frozen food contrary to my family in Switzerland where we varied; sometimes fish and vegetables, one day meat and other vegetable or some rice. In Switzerland we most of the time eat a home-made dinner. It is difficult to become used to it but British people like it! |
Weekend
At the weekend in an English family the parents rests most of the time and spend time to watch TV.
In Switzerland that arrives sometimes but the parents often spend time with them children and go out with them sometimes to go to the park, watch a film to cinema or go to zoo.
School
In England the students wear a school uniform, contrary to Switzerland where everyone wear what they want.
I think that there are positive points to wear a uniform like there's no mockery about what everyone's wear.
Alcohol
In Switzerland you can buy Cider, beer, wine and champagne if you're 16 years old, in UK everything is 18 years old!
In Switzerland you can also go in a pub and drink water if you're under 16, in England you can't go in a pub if you're not 18.
